# BTTS/BTRC-20 Litepaper

This document provides an overview of the BTRC-20 protocol, $BTTS, and BTTSMARKET, a new framework designed for the creation and management of digital assets on the BitTorrent Network. The main goal of BTRC-20 is to utilize calldata to store information and thereby increase transaction efficiency. This approach significantly reduces the costs typically associated with smart contract-based NFTs. $BTTS is the first BitTorrent inscription and offers an innovative way to create, share and transfer digital assets. It provides a license-independent and censorship-resistant solution that is also significantly more cost-effective. BTTSMARKET is the world's first inscription cross-chain marketplace, which allows inscriptions from different blockchain networks to be traded and transferred on BTTSMARKET using BitTorrent's cross-chain performance.
